Since Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners, it is not able to treat all types of orthodontic problems. However, it successfully treats many of our orthodontic patients. When patients are treated with Invisalign, they wear clear plastic aligners on their teeth instead of metal wires and brackets. Depending on the bite problem being fixed, your individualized series of aligners will have anywhere between 15 and 45 aligners in it. Each aligner is worn for two weeks, and will slowly move your teeth into position for the next aligner in the series. Once you have worn the last aligner, you will have your beautiful new smile. Our patients also enjoy the fact that they are able to eat anything they want during this orthodontic treatment. This is because the clear plastic aligners are removed during meals.
